NFL Exec Reveals Massive Prediction For Broncos’ Bo Nix
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Broncos were one of the teams who got in on the historic quarterback run to start the 2024 NFL Draft. The first three picks were all signal callers, as six out of the first 12 selections made all were quarterbacks.

The sixth of that bunch was Bo Nix, who was selected No. 12 overall by the Broncos out of Oregon. There are a lot of analysts who believe that Denver stretched to pick Nix, but the quarterback was a pressing need for the team and they have now addressed it.

There will be immense pressure on Nix to perform, as he has a shot to earn the starting job from Day 1. He will be competing with Zach Wilson, Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci, the three other quarterbacks currently on the depth chart.

Nix had a huge season with the Ducks in 2023, breaking the record for completion percentage at 77.4 and leading the nation in total touchdowns with 45; 39 passing and six on the ground. He fits the mold of what head coach Sean Payton is looking for in his quarterback, as this is a partnership that should be successful.

He brings a ton of experience to the table as well, as his 61 starts collegiately are also a record. It could take some time for Nix to reach his full potential in the NFL, but one former NFL executive who spoke to NFL Analysis Network believes great things are on the horizon for Nix.

“Bo Nix, to me, is the best quarterback in this draft. I know some of the ‘experts’ are trying to figure out ways to discount his college production, but the tape doesn’t lie. He has some developing to do, but I think he’ll end up being the best quarterback out of this class.”

Payton is an excellent coach to land with for Nix’s development. His skill set fits right into what he wants to do offensively as Denver could have found their long-term option under center. It is a void they have been trying to fill since Peyton Manning retired after winning the Super Bowl in the 2015 season.
